Happy Birthday to Me!
Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Julia, Happy Birthday to Me. It's amazing and wonderful waking up to another birthday. I am so thankful to see another one and hopefully I have grown wiser, nicer, smarter, kinder and a whole lot more passionate about life. This has been a year of ups, downs, highs and low, but as the gospel song says "through it all, I made it." I was battling a cold late last week and am finally feeling better. Thank goodness because no one wants to be sick on their birthday.
So what does a birthday girl do on her birthday during the holidays. I BEGIN EACH BIRTHDAY BY NEVER WORKING ON MY BIRTHDAY. My father instilled this in me when I got my first job at McDonald's. Your birthday is the only holiday that you don't have to share with others. So give that holiday to yourself. Therefore, I wake to numerous phone calls of birthday wishes. It's my day so everything is about me, including my purchases. A custom made lotion and shower gel by Urban Botanic Products and Shawna was my consultant. The first you do is fill out a personality questionnaire. How can you go wrong with that? I filled out the questionnaire and my personality is more floral and flirty. I picked my perfect matches from a list of scent. Of course it included gardenia, vanilla, and white musk. A few days later arrived a scrumptious lotion called "Pretty Julia" created for me and just for me by Ms. Shawna and just in time for my birthday. It's perfect for wearing alone or layering which I did. I love mixing all types of scents in the same family.
So I'm off to enjoy a blissful day of birthday passions. A Hip Hop Dance Class at noon, followed by lunch, massage, manicure/pedicure, journal writing and being thankful for another year.
