I had the pleasure of using Maryam's Soap Nook Whipped Body Butter over the past week. I enjoy a good body butter. I love slathering on butter that makes my skin shine, but the consistency is what usually draws me. I want it thick, I want it moisturizing and I do not want to be ashy in 25 minutes after application. Most body butters contain shea butter, but the small amounts they put in usually make them light and fluffy. I like that in the spring, but in the fall I really want moisture, hydration, fragrance and I want to SHINE. I kept thinking how does she get it so light and thick and digging in doesn't ruin my manicure. Maryam's whipped butters contain all that. I personally think Maryam's secret is that she adds Monoi Oil. This is the same oil used in NARS Body Glow so I am definitely a fan. I received the Coconut and Gardenia, but my next scent is definitely the Tahitian Petal.
Maryam also makes an amazing Japanese Camellia Body Oil. This oil is so powerful that I wear it without perfume and I love that. I am a perfume junkie, but on the weekends I might take a break when running errands or working at the yoga studio because no one wants to be in a downward facing dog inhaling my favorite scent of the day. This oil is light in consistency, great in absorbing into my skin and giving me fragrance at the same time. Maryam's products are all handmade and were created because she wanted to use only natural items on her daughter. I have a few other products by Maryam that I currently using and I will be letting you know about these soon. But for now, get the some body butter.
Stay smart, stay strong, stay pretty.

My dear niece, Julia, had Maryam's "Whipped Shea Monoi Body Butter- Java Junkie- sent to me. It is Luscious and Rich. It leaves such a glow and genteel aroma on my beautiful skin. Being a body butter and lotion junkie, I want to believe it is one of the best I have ever used. I have to try some of her other fragrancies. An absolute essential. I will and must share this with some of my co-workers, friends and other family members. My mother, Julia's significant other and name sake would have adored it. Thanks Julia.

You might want to try Yves Rocher's Arnica Oil or their Monoi de Tahiti Traditional Gardenia Oil, if I put either one on I stay soft for days, no matter how often I shower.
